Happy Chinese New Year! Year of the Dragon

Happy Chinese New year! This is the year of the Dragon.

Thank you for all that you do for me and for your example. I am sorry that this has been a hard week. Ann was a good Dog. I am sad to hear she needed to go, but I am glad that she is not in pain. She will be missed by a lot of people. She is loved. I hope that Dan will be ok.

Sounds like you all are getting a lot of snow and rain. Glad that you are getting the water. I'm glad that everyone is safe and having a good time. Jeeping sounds like fun.

This week has been good. It has been a bit slower than usually because of the Chinese New Year. Everyone is "Mang2" busy getting ready for it and then they can't meet until the week after it is over so this week will be an interesting one as well. The people that we find this week will be good though. Yesterday we had a speaker come and talk to us for the stake, he talked about having faith and love to overcome our trials and troubles. I know that when we do our part and love the people and Trust our Father in Heaven that we can do anything. He also talked about how when we die we must overcome all things in order to go back to our Fathers house. So we all must overcome everything in order to get the most blessings. I hope that we all can do that and that we all can live together. It was a nice reminder that we need to work hard and pray for the Lords help and guidance; and then get up and work.

So I'll tell you about these photos real quick. A couple are with chicken feet. Yup I got to eat chicken feet. It is interesting trying to eat but describing it might not be the best. You might not like it. It is was interesting. It tasted ok. Better than some of the other things that they eat here. Also there is a photo of us which we are going to give the family's that invite us to dinner this week. There is also a shoe photo of our district.

I am grateful for all that you do for me. I hope that you all are happy and healthy. I'll email you for more a bit later. My companion can't log into his account and so I'll get to talk to you again soon. Hope that you all are having a great Sunday.

Love you,

Elder Harr

Hey Awesome Family it is me again. Wow love the photos. Thank you for a smile and a update. Love the photos. Looks like Little Sophia is getting big, growing up fast! Wow. SLow down don't you know that you are not allowed to do that until I get back? haha - I Remembering you telling me that when I was growing up. I thought that it was funny but I think that I am starting to understand a little bit more now than I did then. Wow.

Well today I have had miracles happen. I had interviews with President this week and I had to tell him the date that I was going home. After talking to him about it I told him that I was going to go home on Aug 14th and that although that that might be a short time at home, and that I did not know when I would be starting school that I felt like the July date was a bit short. Well today I got on the SVU site and guess what they posted the dates. The first day of school is Sep 4th. That will give me more time at home with you before I need to go out there. Trust the Lord and the rest will work itself out!

I'm grateful that I have the chance to work and serve the Lord and to spread the message with the world; to bring the world back unto Christ. This week I was reminded of the importance of a Prophet. I am so grateful that we have a Prophet to guide us and to help us know that Jesus has a body and lives. Last Saturday while trying to contact as many people as I could because we have not found any investigators at all.. anyway I contacted another missionary for another Christan church and he started to talk to me about the Bible and how the Bible does not say anything about the Americas, and a visit there. I told him not specifically but, then reminded him that Jesus after he was resurrected said that he needed to visit other people. He then proceeded to tell me that Jesus when he was resurrected didn't really have a body and that even though he could not explain that he was like, ya, Jesus is in you and me. He is a spirit and that he can be everywhere and no where at the same time because He is not in a real body. I then asked him why Peter was able to feel his hands and hes feet and why Jesus said be not doubting but believing? That was a body and this nice man told me that was a spirit. He tried to explain that God has all power and that did happen but it was not a real body. This is why we need a Prophet, because we have living prophets we can clearly understand who Christ and His Father are and who they are in relation to us. You and I are children of a Father in Heaven and he has a body of flesh and bones. He lives. I kindly invited this man to come to Church, after testifying that Christ had a body, just Like the Bible said, and although he said he might not do it he thanked me for the invite and we left. Prophets are so important in leading us back to our Father in Heaven.

Well that was one of the many experiences that happened this week. I grew a lot this week and I hope that I can improve and grow from what happened this week.

Well I love you all so much. Have a great week. Know that I love you all so much.

Grateful to be from the Wild Wild West

Hey awesome family, wow what a start to 2012. How has it been? I am so glad to be connected to a family that is involved in so many things. Sounds like this week has been very exciting and full of fun activity's, almost other than the house feeling empty due to the lack of two of us. Dad, Mom, Chandler, Sam, Brin, Sara, Jakob, Sophia know that we love you all. Know that we are so grateful for all that you do for us.

Sounds like this week has been full of good things at home, getting ready for the singing time and primary. Thank you for your example of doing good trying to do your best, even when it is hard and we don't quite understand how or why it works out the way that is does.

This week has been fun and full. The photos are from last Monday, we went to a place called liu3fu4cun1 it is one of the three or four amusement parks in Taiwan and it was a fun time even though the rides had a height limit of 190cm and I'm 203cm! It was fun for the most part. The height restriction was for the neck rest and that is the height that they designed the rest to be for (since people here are so short) but no problem we where safe and had a bunch of fun. I couldn't help but think about you as we mounted a life size fake horse and thought "Wow the real thing would be fun!" Oh well in time. So that was Monday day. That night was good we had a few lessons that night and it was a good day. Tuesday we went to Taipei for a meeting with President for the month of January, getting ready for the training that we would receive for the month and the topic for our district meetings this month. Our assignment is chapter 8 "How to use time wisely." We need it. In the training President talked about being valiant. How in D&C only the Valiant will be able to receive all the father has, and that going to the temple and doing the right things is not enough! Being on a mission and going out to pass the time by talking to people is not why we are here and not what the Lord has called us to be! We are to be pressing forward and voicing the Gospel because this is the most important message in the world and we can't not spread it because of what it means to us!! We need to go out and plan and set goals to find what the Lord has put on our path and talk to everyone. Anyway it was a cool training and I hope that I'm doing it right. Wednesday we went to Toufen which is along way away. It takes about an hour to get there and so not really far, but in Taiwan that's far. We went and attended a district meeting there and gave some training. Then came back just in time for English class and Thursday is here already. So this week was crazy, full of meetings and fun things. I hope that I am using the best use of my time.

This week has gone by fast and also this transfer as well. This week is week 6 the last week in this transfer and so it is almost time for move calls. I think that I will stay here but I think that Elder Bogle might move. He has spent a long time in this zone and so he might be moving but who knows everything is possible. Crazy how fast time is going by!

Ok, so about the bike? I'll call up the guy again and talk to him about what we need to do. Dad, you think we should leave it here? Ok, Cool I'll get working on that.

Ok, you all are awesome thank you for your example and for all that you do.

Love you Family!

Happy 2012!

Hey awesome family welcome to 2012! Happy New year! I hope that you are all having fun over there in America. Know that I love you and that I loved talking to you last week and that I am so grateful for you. I bet you all are probably in the car or soon to get in the car to Idaho Drive safe. Sounds like you all had fun over Christmas. Wow full with fun games and fun memories. Thank you for all of your examples! You are all so awesome. I love you. I hope that you will all remember that memories. It is always fun to have the WHOLE family together. Tye went with his family! How is he? I hope that he is starting to come back. We are so blessed to be together.

Thank you for the emails, you are so awesome. I love you all so much. This week has been fun and full of work but before I tell you too much I need to talk about the photo.

After I talked to you last week I went and was looking at my bike and trying to keep it running, and guess what I found, yup it is another crack! It is a lot smaller than the last one and so I remember that it took along time about three or four transfers tell I was able to get the frame switched and so I'm thinking that maybe I'll just be really nice to it and try not to do too much on it and that it will last until I come back and then I'll ship the bike back there and we can switch it there. What are your thoughts. It's not huge and so I can make it, and then we don't have to go through the same problems and stuff that we did on the last one. I guess I'm just a bit too hard on it but I'll be nice to it. Thank you so much for all that you do for me. In your last email mom you talked about sending a book about Elder Bednar, I won't be able to read it. I can take books to the English class but I can't read stuff that is not Church approved and so even though I would love to read it I can't read it right now. After the mission. As far as pants go, I'll be ok. There are lake people on almost every street that can fix or make clothing. I'll just order some with them they will custom make them and it will be about the same as buying them in America I think. I am doing ok right now. But that was something that I thought that I might need to look into at a future date I am doing good right now.

Ok this week was good, we have been good we have been working and teaching. We have been finding as many people as we can talking to everyone! This is the worlds most important message and so it has been a honor and a privilege to be able to share it through the Christmas and New Year season! I love this work. I hope that I can do all that I need to do in time. This last week we went on three exchanges and had fun serving with all of them. I am grateful for the chance to see how other missionary's work ant try to learn for how they work and how they use their time to do this work. I have been starting to realize that this time is getting shorter and I am trying to work harder and just make sure that I am diligent and using time correctly. This week I have been studying about the Atonement and trying to understand it more. I also have been working to try to help the other missionary's in the zone to personally understand their responsibility to be diligent which is hard. I am still learning that and I don't want to come off as some now it all leader who thinks that I have all that answers. It has been interesting to try to talk to the people in the zone who I don't know if they are or not really but who seem to be not as diligent as they should be. I try to tell them in a loving and respectful way that we all need to get working, and forget ourselves. I know that his Church is true, and that Christ lives that our Heavenly Father lives and that He loves us and that He wants to help us and all we need to do is trust and love Him and be obedient.

Well Awesome family be safe. Have fun. Good luck Liesl. I need to go. Mom thank you for all the pass words. Loved talking to you all last week

Love you
