Hello everyone:
Wow what a week, it has gone by both slow and fast and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'm sure that this is how the rest of the mission will be as well, and I hope that I have set the bar high enough that I will only improve from here... when I say fast I mean the week, and by long I mean the day's. This week we had 5 new investigators, which is the golden standard or the bar for the mission. I hope that I can continue to improve and progress from here. It's a good way to start I think and should only get better.
I am so blessed to have you all as my examples and family. As I introduce myself to the ward and the investigators, they all are amazed that I was home schooled and that we have such a big family. They love everything about our family and what we do together. Thank you for all you do for me.
Taiwan is awesome and it's way cool to ride it's streets, and learn about it a little more. I've learned that basketball is growing in popularity here and that there are some really good players here. I haven't had a chance to go play yet but I see people playing all the time. We contact outside a place called the Beitou exercise center, and there is always someone that is coming to play or leaving from playing while we are there.
Food: food is good here. It's not like what we make at home where that vegges and the meat are mixed in with the rice. At least for Taiwan type food, it is always separated into what it is. But in main land China is where mixing the food comes into play. We had a meal that we ordered that was dalu style and it was like a soup, the rice and the everything was in a soup broth.
This church is so true. It has given me so much. Yesterday we talked with a man from Spain and I don't think that he really understood what we were doing because he kept on saying, "Man I'm telling you, stay close to your church, even after your mission because I, for about 10 years, forgot about God and didn't worry to much about him, or how he had helped me." God has helped us so much I'm grateful that I know this.
Love you all your awesome.
